Barley Rye
Barley Rye
Barley Rye Folk Choir formed in 2000 as a millennium project for Nailsea Folk Club and is now a performing group with a membership of over 20. The group is led by Keith Burrows and has a repertoire of original harmony arrangements of traditional folk songs – many of which come from the local area. The choir performs regularly at local festivals and other events – singing songs and performing our puppet mummers’ plays.
Barley Rye practises for two hours each week on Sunday evenings at the Ring O’Bells, Nailsea, starting at 6.30 pm in the winter and 7pm in the summer. Membership is open - singers need have no previous singing experience, or ability to read music and will not be auditioned.
If you are interested in singing with Barley Rye, or in booking them for an event, please contact Keith on 01454 411052 or keithb1703@gmail.com
